BM Waste to Energy

BM has been investing in the biomass sector since 2009. Different from many other generic biomass plant development studies, BM has led a 2 year multinational study in order to assess Turkey's biomass potential and pinpoint the optimum Project design, which involved a high number of specialized experts as well as over 6 months of actual trial AD tests. Extensive studies, lab trials and R&D works have shaped a unique economic as well as engineering model in biomass energy generation, which BM is actively pursuing with 3 current projects under construction, with 3 more in the pipeline.

BM's projects utilize a specific portfolio of organic waste products, and creates very efficient power plants that generate biogas-based electricity as well as an extremely high quality of organic fertilizer.

Total installed power capacity of BM's three plants under construction (in three different cities in Turkey) is approximately 15 MW, with a total annual power generation of 109,5 GWh planned. Another 12 MW and 92 GWh annual production are being developed in the pipeline. The locations and technical details of these plants are currently being kept undisclosed until pending IP registration has been properly completed. However, licence applications for two have already been approved by EMRA and the projects are in the final design stage.
